Did you ever try “Halewet el jeben” ?!
You are missing a lot if you didn’t yet! So easy to prepare it at home.
INGREDIENTS
        • 1.5 cup hot water.
        •  1 cup sugar.
        •  1 cup fine semolina.
        •  500 gm fresh mozzarella.
        •  Orange blossom water.
        •  Sugar syrup.
        •  Ricotta cheese.
DIRECTIONS
1. In a casserole, on low heat, add hot water and sugar.
2. When sugar dissolves, add fresh mozzarella cubes, and mix.
3. When the cheese totally melts, add semolina progressively.
4. Keep on mixing, while adding semolina, always with a wooden spoon.
5. The mix will get together and it will form a ball. Turn off heat, add orange blossom and mix.
6. On a parchment paper (or nylon), put sugar syrup. Put the dough on it, then brush it with some sugar syrup. Add another parchment paper, and roll out the dough (to the desired thickness).
7. Spread cheese (or achta) inside it and roll it then cut it into pieces. (I prefer to cut the dough into strips and add achta in the top).
8. Drizzle sugar syrup and serve 🤗.
9. For a change, you can put mascarpone cheese (instead of ricotta) with strawberrie
