Ingredients:
-
1 kg beef filet
-
1 cup corn flour
-
1/2 cup vegetable oil
For the sauce:
-
2 Tbs vegetable oil
-
1 cup low sodium soy sauce
-
1 cup brown sugar
-
4 garlic cloves (minced)
-
2 Tbs ginger (minced)
-
2 Tbs rice vinegar (if not available, use white vinegar)
-
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
-
Green onions for garnish
Directions:
-
First, we need to start by preparing the sauce.
-
Mix all sauce ingredients in a small pot, put it over medium-low heat.
-
Stir from time to time.
-
Meanwhile, cook the meat.
-
Cover meat slices with corn flour.
-
In a skillet, heat a bit of oil, add meat in one layer.
-
You need to cook the meat in batches, for every batch you re-add a bit of oil.
-
Fry meat on medium-high fire for few minutes, and remove on the side.
-
When done with all the quantity, return them in the skillet.
-
Add the sauce (that is now a little thicker)
-
Let it simmer for few minutes on low fire. You will see that it will thicken more.
-
Be careful don’t keep it for too long on fire.
