For the sauce:
  • 2 Tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 Tbs ginger (minced)
  • 2 Tbs rice vinegar (if not available, use white vinegar)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Green onions for garnish
Directions:
  1. First, we need to start by preparing the sauce.
  2. Mix all sauce ingredients in a small pot, put it over medium-low heat.
  3. Stir from time to time.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the meat.
  5. Cover meat slices with corn flour.
  6. In a skillet, heat a bit of oil, add meat in one layer.
  7. You need to cook the meat in batches, for every batch you re-add a bit of oil.
  8. Fry meat on medium-high fire for few minutes, and remove on the side.
  9. When done with all the quantity, return them in the skillet.
  10. Add the sauce (that is now a little thicker)
  11. Let it simmer for few minutes on low fire. You will see that it will thicken more.
  12. Be careful don’t keep it for too long on fire.
  ENJOY 🙂
